The XW-TOOLS is a complete system to print images on various printers.
The follwing types of files can be processed:
- Tiff*
- Jpeg
- Xwd
- Png
- Ppm/Pgm/Pnm
- Gif *
* Only in countries where software and algorhythms are not patented.
For the Tiff format it will not be possible to read files with LZW compression..
Printers from different companies may be used. ( EPSON, Canon, HP).
Support for printers with special ink (such as photo-ink) like
the EPSON Stylus Photo ... or
the EPSON Stylus Pro 5000
is implemented .
The driver xw_print is able to send information
directly to network printers (lp BSD-protocol).
The XW-TOOLS system contains its own spooler, thereby enabling you to print
from different workstations.
The spool system is compatible with the
standard lp-system.
Simple configuration files permit the use of
a printer with different parameters such as paper size or type.
A GUI allows an easy usage of the XW-TOOLS
system. All configured printers
(logical or physical) are presented on the screen.
